So I am finally posting a happy blog! Saturday was hot, I mean like 96 degrees hot, so we decided to pack it up and go down to Corona del Mar. It was Steve, Chris and I and Steve's best friend Mike, his girlfriend, Melinda, her 2 girls and his daughter. We had so much fun and I even managed to get a tiny bit of a tan, ok so I added freckles, but what's an Irish girl to do? Here's some highlights:
The amazing view from our spot on the beach, this is why I live in So Cal.
Chris playing down at the water, this makes him look so little, he played in that water for hours, it was all we could do to get him out when it started getting dark.
Steve digging a hole for the girls and Chris to play in.
And last, but not least, my white white legs trying to soak up as much sun as you can wearing 45 SPF sunscreen.
In other news, I've finished the middle part of the quilt top I'm making for Steve and my bed:
That's it for now, I'm hoping to get to work on this a little more this week, I need to get the border done and then it's just the quilting and binding.

Sad Days
So yesterday I walk down to my car and I see this:
I thought it was just a little ding in my car, then as I continued to the drivers door, I saw all this:
Someone broke my car! It turns out they bent the suspension on my rear driver's side. But that's why we have insurance right?
In lighter news look at the hand spun I did:
It's from Spunky Eclectic fiber club for Jan, it's thick and thin and I plied it with some light blue cotton thread.
