Steampunk Santa

I listen to a podcast called Escape Pod, it's an awesome podcast with awesome sci fi stories. I'm usually a big fan of the stories, sometimes not so much. Bu I have never been as big a fan of any story than I am of the story I just listened to by Mer Lafferty, As Dry Leaves Before a Hurricane Fly. It was simply awesome. I mean what's better than a steampunk Santa with 9 inventor children instead of reindeer? I think this is the Christams story we should read next year, way more awesome than some creepy guy that watches everything I do all year, then sneaks into my house while I'm sleeping and judges my actions to deem me worthy or not and leaves me a coresponding gift. I just had to share this story with you all since it made me smile. I know it's after the holidays, but if you need a pick me up from a well written story about an awesome family, or just something good to go listen to while knitting, go here. Also I was so intrigued with the idea of a steampunk Santa that I googled it to see if I could find a good one, and get this, there was only one steampunk Santa, I think the world is lacking in this area, we need more steampunk.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. You should get that pattern if you like it soon, as Vogue has a habit of putting out vintage patterns for only a short while. I think this reissue JUST came out, so RUN, don't walk to your local fabric store and get it. It is V1094 and good luck!!
